Guidance on plans for production (alterable by circumstances) to -give a record for future commandeers of what was discussed with thedude357 (many thanks for reminding us of it) -allow commanders to see the latest plan and comment on WitE now, unlike earlier versions, has options to alter production but at the cost of points. It is the last thing mentioned in the team protocol and there is little current reading or analyses of effects. The main settings of interest to the Axis may be -Forts (by Units) -Forts (by Cities) -Aircraft a) Forts could be reduced in turn 1 to save on supply for this when we do not need it during the Barbarossa but we did not because - we may want to bring fort production back to 100% for the first blizzard so spending points undoing what we spent points doing - so long as Axis units are moving their fort construction (based on remaining MPs) will be minimal anyway - it is now possible to micromanage away from fort production by placing units on reserve b) Forts may be reduced in the middle of Barbarossa if we foresee that we do not need to be digging a back stop line for the blizzard but this entails risk as can we be really sure we do not need the supply for fortifying lines for the blizzard (as opposed to keeping supplies for units instead) c) Forts probably will be reduced during first winter when the front stabilises as we will then be sure we do not need to dig in further to hold the front, and as a lot of units will be in contact with the enemy without using up their MPs we may want to prevent excessive supply going to digging 1941 forts. This may need to be reversed again at the end of 1942. d) Aircraft production may also be reduced if we are really sure we do not need it. We certainly will not need all the recon, but fighters will usually be the critical shortage - unfortunately we cannot choose which type of aircraft to restrict production on. If the air war goes very well and we are sure we wil have enough fighters we can review this position.
