Because this scenario includes seaborne reinforcements it can only be played
from the Japanese side in a one player game.

This scenario represents a long learning process with HPS's map editor and
scenario designing tools, as well as significant research. (I should
mention that Peter von Kleinsmid was of invaluable assistance in figuring
out the technical end of things, and play testing) I have done
everything possible to make the forces and conditions reflect what
actually existed on 12/23/41. Nevertheless, this is not a perfect
recreation and I take responsibility for any shortcomings. If you wish
to confirm any aspect of the game included or read up on the campaign,
I recommend Lt. Col. Robert Heinl's "The Defense of Wake" and Robert
Cressman's "A Magnificent Fight".

FYI, actual casualty figures for the entire battle ending at USMC @ 44 dead,
26 wounded, Japanese SNLF @ 125. (Heinl) Approximately 80 civilians were
killed including those in previous bombings.

For additional play variation, one might consider changing the time to "day"
recreating the aborted landing attempt as well.
