OVERVIEW: The PRV-9 THIN SKIN A is a mobile, short-to-medium-range nodding height finding radar operating in the H (NATO) or C (IEEE) bands.

DETAILS: The PRV-9 is deployed as part of a ground control intercept or as part of a tactical air defense unit or mobile SAM unit. It compliments other air search and surveillance radars by providing target height information. It is relatively resistant
to jamming, using a triple staggered Pulse Repetition Frequency (PRF) and a wide area of manual or automatic transmitter's frequency agility, making it a relatively insensitive to active jamming. Associated weapons systems are the SA-4 GANEF and the SA-6 GAINFUL SAMs.

Specifications:

Frequency: 6-8 GHz (H Band (NATO), C Band (IEEE)))
