OVERVIEW: The HEN HOUSE "Dnestr-M" 5N15M-series radar is a fixed radar operating in the NATO "A" band and designed to provide early warning and tracking in support of antiballistic missile (ABM) deployments.

DETAILS: Dnestr-series radars have two arrays projecting from each side of the central control facility in either a straight line (Dnestr), or at an angle (Dnestr-M). This shape allows for radar sites to have different fields of view based on their position and the requirements of the BMEW network. The system has a track-while-scan capability.
