OVERVIEW:  The SPO-2 aka Sirena-2 airborne radar warning receiver (RWR) is a passive airborne sensor that detects and warns aircrew of hostile radars operating in the I Band.

DETAILS: 
  The SPO-2 Sirena used a tail mounted antenna capable of detecting pulse radars operaing in the NATO "I" Band.   The system then provided the aircrew with an audible alert.

	Frequency:	8.7-9.5 Ghz (NATO I-band
	Coverage: 	 ± 30° from tail of aircraft
	
			
NOTES:  China produced a copy known as the Type-903 operating between 2-8Ghz
