OVERVIEW: The SKORYY MOD class DD is a steam-powered destroyer.

DETAILS: An all-gun vessel, the SKORYY DD was the first Soviet destroyers constructed after WWII. These ships were built in 101 modular pre-fabricated sections which led to rapid building times. As an all-gun ship, they were obsolete with the development of missiles and the use of helicopters from destroyers. Several vessels were transferred to Egypt, Poland and Indonesia.
