OVERVIEW:  The SA-3a GOA mod 0 (S-125 Neva, 5V24, V-600P) is a two-stage, solid-fuel, short range, low-to-medium altitude, radio command guidance, surface to air missile equipped with a 60 kg warhead using proximity,  radar and contact fuzing.

DETAILS:  The SA-3a GOA was designed as a low-to-medium altitude complement to the medium-to-high altitude SA-2 system.  After launch and booster jettison, the second stage is captured in the radar beam and guidance signals are sent to place the missile on an intercept trajectory.  The missile has a lethal radius of 12.5 m.
