OVERVIEW: The HEN HOUSE "Dnepr" 5N86M-series radar is a fixed radar operating in the NATO "A" band and designed to provide early warning and tracking in support of antiballistic missile (ABM) deployments.

DETAILS: Dnepr-series radars is an improvement to the earlier Dnestr-series.  It has two arrays projecting from each side of the central control facility at an angle to allow for the site to a field of view based on their position and the requirements of the BMEW network.  The system has a track-while-scan capability.
