OVERVIEW:  The HQ-64/LY-60 platoon is a short-to-medium range, low-to-medium altitude mobile, air defense unit using the semi-active homing HQ-64/LY-60 missile.

DETAILS: A typical engagment begins begins with the surveillance radar detecting the target aircraft, which relays  it to the illumnator vehicle. A battery can process up to 40 targets, track 12 targets and engage three targets simultaneously.  System reaction time is nine seconds, with a pk of between 0.6 and 0.8.
