OVERVIEW: The 59N6 Protivnik GE radar is a mobile, phased-array, 3-D surveillance radar operating in the D (NATO) or L (IEEE) band.

DETAILS: The 59N6 Protivnik GE is designed to detect and track air contacts including small RCS and cruise missile sized targets, including targets operating at low altitude. It is highly automated and has a high jamming immunity. It is capable of tracking up to 150 targets, and its high degree of accuracy allows it to provide midcourse cuing for SAMs. Weapon systems associated with the Protivnik GE include the S-300 PM/PMU1, S-300PMU2 Favorite and S-400 Triumf.
