OVERVIEW: The HN-503 radar is a mobile, trailer-mounted, 2-D radar operating in the A (NATO) or VHF (IEEE) bands. 

DETAILS: The HN-503 radar has the longest detection range of any Chinese air defense radar.  It is intended to support over the water interceptions from coastal sites.   It features a high level of ECCM capability, incorporating adaptive and random pulse-to-pulse frequency agility.  It also has a high reliability and good mobility.
