OVERVIEW: The Lekiu FFG is a  two shaft, diesel powered multi-role frigate.

DETAILS:   The Lekiu FFG is a multi-role frigate.  Its hull and superstructure shaped to reduce radar signature.

Armament includes 8x MM-40 block II Exocet SSM and 1 Bofors 57mm/70 SAK Mk2, 2x MSI 30mm/75 DS30B and 2x 12.7mm/90 MG's for ASUW.  AAW capability is provided by 16x Seawolf SAM.  ASW capability is provided by 2 triple 324mm Torpedo tubes.  Defensive suite includes 2x Super Barricade 12 barreled launchers for chaff, Scimitar ECM suite and the Graseby Sea Siren torpedo decoy.

Aviation facilities include a hanger and helicopter spot for a Super Lynx-sized helo. Small boat capability is two RHID's and one crane. 

Sensor includes a 2-D DA-08  air-search radar,  a Sea Giraffe for Surface-search, and two Marconi 1802 FC Fire-Control radars.  The ship has a  Thomson Sintra Spherion Hull-mounted sonar, AEG Telefunken/Marconi Mentor-A ESM suite.
