OVERVIEW: The Uda-class is a diesel-powered replenishment oiler.

DETAILS:   The Uda-class oiler (Project 577) is a class of fleet replenishment oilers used by the Soviet and Russian navies. They are capable of replenishment at sea, its A-frame kingpost providing 2 amidships refueling positions. They are also capable of refueling over the stern. Unlike similar US fleet tankers, it is incapable of vertical replenishment.

At least three of the class were sold to Indonesia, and one has been converted to civilian use.
