OVERVIEW: The Bung Tomo-class guided missile corvettes are a 2-shaft, diesel powered multi-role  guided missile corvettes intended for offshore patrol.

DETAILS: These ships are a variant of the Yarrow F2000 design.   These vessels can provide limited multi-role capability.  For AAW they are equipped with  a  76mm dual purpose gun, 2x 30mm AA guns, and  16 cell VLS launcher for the Seawolf SAM.   ASUW capability is provided by 8x MM.40 Exocet ASM, and ASW capability is provided by two triple tube torpedo tubes 

 The sensor suite includes a AWS-9 3D air/surface radar, T-1007 navigation radar, Scout LPI surface search  radar, and a TMS4130C1 hull mounted medium frequency sonar.  Electronic Warfare the ship has the  Cutlass 242 RESM, Falcon DS300 CESM, Scorpion jammers and two Super Barricade chaff launchers.  The   Nautis II C3I system can  detect, identify, track, and engage air, surface, and submarine threats, and automatically operate the weapons and sensors in combat.  However, the vessels do not have a data-link capability.

Aviation facilities are limited to a landing pad for a medium (AS565 Panther)-size helicopter.  There is no hanger. The vessel has two cranes to launch two small RHIB's.

NOTES: IOC 2014.  Originally built for the Royal Brunei Navy but were ultimately bought by Indonesia and renamed.  Units in class: KRI BUNG TOMO (357); JOHN LIE (358); USMAN HARUN (359). A CWIS was planned, but not fitted.
