OVERVIEW: The Cape Roger-class Offshore Patrol Vessel is a diesel-powered vessel intended for fisheries patrol and SAR duties.

DETAILS:  The Cape Roger is used to monitor the Atlantic Canada fisheries, primarily those on the Grand Banks of Newfoundland, as well as scientific missions and SAR operations. As built, the vessel had a helicopter hanger, which was removed in 2011 deck can now only be used for helo hoisting.  The vessel has two RHIBs for personnel transfer and law enforcement duties.
