OVERVIEW: The Special Operations Craft Mk V (aka Mark V.1 Patrol Boat) is a  medium range, diesel-powered marine security, patrol and special forces insertion  and extraction platform for use in a low to medium threat environment.

DETAILS: The Mark V is an aluminum mono hull design.  It has the capacity to carry a 2950 kg payload or sixteen fully equipped SEALs to missions 500 nm. Alternatively, it can carry two  (2) 5-ton truck (M1083 or equivalent) or 4 5/4-ton truck (M1097 or equivalent). Alternatively, it can carry 4 CRRC (Combat Rubber Raiding Craft) and 6 outboard engines. Fuel capacity is 9840 liters. 

The sensors can be I-band navigation radar and an EO sensor. The vessel has four (4) mountings for 7.62 MG or 12.7 MG and 1 mounting for 40mm grenade launcher and 3 Bushmaster 25mm. Improvements include 7.62 mm Gatling, twin 12.7 mm, 25 mm guns and Stinger MANPADS.
