OVERVIEW: The TYPHOON SSBN (Project 941) is a nuclear powered ballistic missile submarine.

DETAILS:   The Typhoon is the largest submarine ever built. Designed to operate in the artic, the high-rise hull and sail structure is allows the TYPHOON to break through Arctic ice and launch its missiles.  The TYPHOON features a multi-hulled design of five inner hulls situated inside a superstructure of two parallel main hulls. To reduce the acoustic signature the hull is coated with andrihydroacoustic coating.
