The AS-16 KICKBACK (Kh-15) is an air-launched high supersonic, solid fuel missile that utilizing inertial guidance and a nuclear warhead.

DETAILS: On launch, the AS-16 climbs to an altitude of about 130,000 ft and then dives in on the target, accelerating to a speed of about Mach 5.  

NOTES: The AS-16 became operational approximately in 1980.  A conventional anti-ship Kh-15S) version armed with a 150 kg warhead and an active radar seeker is also available, as is a ARM version (Kh-15P). It is carried by  the Tu-95MS-6 'Bear-H', Tu-22M3 'Backfire C', and Tu-160 'Blackjack aircraft.  It is analogous to the American AGM-69 SRAM.
