OVERVIEW: The AGM-65G MAVERICK is a short range, IIR guided, rocket powered, air-to-ground missile with a 136 kg penetrating warhead.

DETAILS: The AGM-65G Maverick is a tactical air-to-surface missile designed for use against hardened targets. It is a fire and forget weapon. The IIR sensor overcomes the daylight-only, adverse weather limitations of the -65A/B's EO system. The AGM-65G has digital autopilot and improved tracking and target selection options. The new autopilot allows the operator to select a lower trajectory to prevent break of lock in clouds.
