OVERVIEW:  The SA-6b GAINFUL mod 1 (2K12 KUB; 9M336) is a mobile, two-stage, solid fuel rocket and ramjet powered, low-to-medium altitude, surface-to-air missile  using command guidance with terminal semi-active radar homing (SARH).  It is equipped with a 57 kg warhead.

DETAILS:  The SA-6 GAINFUL was designed to supplement the larger and longer ranging 2K11 Krug / SA-4 Ganef with  low altitude coverage air defense, and was primarily intended to protect front line-armor and mechanized divisions.  The SA-6b features enhanced capability against jamming.
