OVERVIEW: The AGM-154C-1 aka AGM-154C Block III Joint Standoff Weapon (JSOW) is an air-to-surface precision-attack glide bomb with a multi-stage 454 kg blast fragmentation/penetrator warhead.

DETAILS:

 The AGM-154C-1 is intended for use against both maritime and stationary land targets from standoff ranges.  It uses a (GPS)/Inertial Navigation System (INS) for mid-course guidance and an IIR seeker for terminal guidance.  It includes a dual-mode (UHF/Link-16) datalink for inflight targeting updates from the launching aircraft.

The BROACH warhead increases lethality against hardened targets by employing a two stage warhead consisting of a WDU-44 shaped augmenting warhead which cuts a passage through a target's armor, allowing the larger WDU-45 follow through warhead to penetrate inside the target.
