OVERVIEW: The C-701 aka C-701T aka FL-10 aka YJ-7 aka Kosar is air-launched, short range, EO guided, solid fuel, anti-ship missile. It has a 30 kg SAP warhead.

DETAILS: The C-701 lightweight anti-ship missile was developed for use against small-to-medium sized naval vessels.

After launch, the missile is initially guided by inertial navigation system, switching to EO guidance during the terminal phase. The C-701 uses a radar altimeter to cruise at 500 meters (est), transitioning to a dive onto the target during the terminal phase. The operator in the controlling platform uses a datalink to receive the transmitted TV image and designate the target and precise aim point.
