OVERVIEW: The MM.40 Exocet Block III missile is a turbojet powered, high sub-sonic, surface-launched, medium-range, radar homing, anti-ship missile, equipped with a 165 kg warhead.

DETAILS: After launch, the MM.40 Exocet uses a hybrid GPS/inertial navigation system for midcourse guidance. This guidance system allows for programing multiple 3D way points. For the terminal phase, the missile uses a 24 km range adaptive search pattern capable J-band (10-20 Ghz) active radar. The missile has a lower RCS and IR signature than earlier versions of the Exocet, and is capable of high-g maneuvers in the terminal phase. The missile is all-weather capable, and is capable of attacking land targets using coordinates.
