On 5 April 1986 terrorist supported by the government of Libya detonated a bomb in a Berlin night club causing the death of one American soldier and injuries to several others. The United States government has proof that this incident was directed by Libya's Qadhafi. In addition, evidence is mounting that the government of Libya is attempting to develop a global terrorism campaign against Americans and US interests.
In response US president Ronald Reagan ordered airstrikes against Libya on the night of April 14/15, codenamed OPERATION ELDORADO CANYON.
First and foremost, this scenario is designed to recreate the real raid as closely as possible in a stochastic simulation. With the default scenario settings, I feel like that is achievable. There are also a number of scenario settings that will let you explore possible What If's. What if France or Spain had granted the USAF overflight, what if Libya had believed some of the strategic indicators that an attack was imminent, what if the Libyan Air Force actually flew at night, etc.
