OVERVIEW: The MO-1.01.04M is an unguided, short-range, thermobaric artillery rocket designed for area-denial and destruction of fortified positions. It is launched from the TOS-1A Solntsepyok heavy flamethrower system and carries a thermobaric warhead weighing approximately 90 kg.

DETAILS: The MO-1.01.04M is a modernized 220mm rocket developed for the TOS-1A platform, optimized for thermobaric effects in enclosed spaces and open terrain. It uses a solid-propellant motor and stabilizing fins for accurate short-range delivery, with a maximum range of approximately 6 kilometers. The warhead is designed to generate extreme overpressure and heat, effective against bunkers, fortifications, and light armored targets. The system is capable of delivering up to 24 rockets in rapid succession for maximum saturation.

Compared to the earlier MO-1.01.04 used in the TOS-1, the MO-1.01.04M offers increased range, improved propellant, and enhanced thermobaric performance. It is matched specifically to the upgraded fire control and reduced weight launcher configuration of the TOS-1A.

Rockets are fired from the 24-tube launcher mounted on a T-72 chassis with modernized targeting systems, enabling fast salvos and better accuracy. Launch data can be pre-programmed or uploaded via battlefield management systems for coordinated fire missions.
