OVERVIEW: The Super Barricade is a 102 mm, trainable naval decoy launcher developed by Wallop Defence Systems. It is designed to deploy chaff and infrared countermeasures to protect ships from radar and infrared-guided missile threats.

DETAILS: Super Barricade was developed as an enlarged successor to the earlier 57 mm Barricade system, with improved payload capacity and greater effectiveness against modern threats. It consists of trainable launchers capable of firing 102 mm rounds containing either chaff or flare payloads. Each launcher typically holds 12 tubes and can be integrated with shipboard ESM and threat warning systems. The system is fitted on small warships and fast attack craft, including the Egyptian Navy’s Ambassador Mk III class. Once activated, Super Barricade can launch salvos in programmed patterns, creating off-board decoy clouds to divert enemy missile seekers.

FONCTION:
Incoming threat is detected via electronic support measures or warning receivers.
Launcher orients automatically and fires a chaff or flare salvo.
The decoys form radar-reflective or infrared clouds to mislead missile guidance systems.
