OVERVIEW: The PRM-200 is an air-launched, programmable target drone designed to simulate radar and infrared threats for air defense training. It provides a realistic, expendable aerial target with pre-set flight profiles and enhanced radar/IR signature features.

DETAILS: PRM stands for Programmable Remotely-controlled Missile. The PRM-200 is produced by Yugoimport SDPR and is designed for medium-range air defense system calibration, gunnery, and missile training. It uses passive radar reflectors and flares to simulate a real target’s radar and IR signature, and can follow pre-programmed trajectories using internal gyroscopic and barometric navigation. A self-destruct function is integrated for safety in case of missed intercepts.

FUNCTION: Once released from a launch aircraft, the PRM-200 follows a pre-set pitch and yaw flight path at speeds between Mach 0.5 and 0.8. It presents a radar/infrared target profile for tracking and engagement by missile or gun-based air defense systems.

NOTE:
IOC: Unknown (first public data available by early 2000s)
