And now something for real experts - the files on which the editor works. They are simple textfiles and knowing them you have greater possibilities. The first one will be really simple. This is the workspace file. It looks like this one:
Napoleon In Russia| C:\Games\NIR\BD\Main.oob| C:\OOBEditor\backup.oob| C:\OOBEditor\Data\Napoleon In Russia.inf| 1|C:\Games\NIR\Units.bmp| 1|C:\Games\NIR\BD\Leaders.bmp| 1|C:\Games\NIR\Icons3d2.bmp| 1|C:\Games\NIR\Icons3d1.bmp| 1|C:\Games\NIR\Icons3d0.bmp|
I will explain every line but this is not really necessary. Please note that the separator sign which I use is "|". First line is the title. Second line is the path to oob file. Third line is the path to backup file. In the fourth line there is the path to target platform file. The following lines are responsible for unit pictures, leader face pictures, infantry icons, cavalry icons and artillery icons. An empty slot shall look like this:
0|empty|
This is all you may know about the workspace files. They can be edited by hand if you think this is faster. And now for something completely different...
