Negotiations on Iran's nuclear program have completely broken down. Iran announced it will not sign any agreement that limits its nuclear or ballistic missile programs. This was followed by Iran's leader overturning the fatwa against the acquisition, development, and use of nuclear weapons. A nuclear armed Iran would be an intolerable situation. If we do not act it will have global repercussions. It would pose an extreme threat not only to our forces and allied nations in the region, but all over the world. It's unlikely we'll be able to completely destroy the Iranian nuclear program, short of conducting a nuclear strike ourselves, but we can try to further delay their acquisition of nuclear devices.
The Iranian Air Force consists mostly of American fighters from the 1960s and 1970s; F-4 Phantoms, F-14 Tomcats, and F-5 Freedom Fighters. They also have a single squadron of MiG-29s based in Tehran. Of these, the F-14's based at Esfahan are the most dangerous. The Phoenix / Fakour-90 (Max Range: 81 nm) these aircraft are armed with is the longest-range missile in the Iranian inventory. The F-14's and F-4's can both be armed with the semi-active radar homing Sparrow III missile. It has a shorter range (Max Range: 16 nm) than the Phoenix but is more effective against fighter-sized aircraft.
Iranian air defenses consist of Soviet era radars and SAM systems, some Chinese copies, American made I-HAWK SAMs from the same time period, and new Iranian domestic systems. The two most advanced, and dangerous, SAM systems in the Iranian inventory are the SA-20 [S-300OPMU-2] and the Iranian Bavar-373. At least one battalion of SA-20s is likely deployed near Bandar Abbas and Esfahan. The others are most likely concentrated around Tehran.
Each of the nuclear sites has a network of preconstructed AAA and SAM sites. We are waiting for additional satellite imagery to determine what, if anything, occupies these positions.

In addition to the USAF reconnaissance and refueling squadrons assigned to the Ninth Air Force - fighter, bomber, and refueling squadrons in CONUS and Europe have been alerted and are standing by for deployment to the region.
The US Navy has deployed four destroyers to the Arabian Sea. The carriers USS Harry S. Truman (CVN-75), USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN-72), USS George H.W. Bush (CVN-77), and USS Gerald R. Ford (CVN-78) have also been alerted for possible deployment.
The entirety of the IAF front line fighter inventory will be available to you. Of these, the F-15Is, F-16Is, and F-35Is are the most advanced. The F-15I can carry the GBU-28C/B Deep Throat laser guided bomb. It's a 4700lb penetrator, ideal for use against underground facilities.
A wing of Jericho III IRBMs with conventional warheads has also been made available.
There are four primary Iranian nuclear sites related to the development of nuclear weapons; Arak Heavy Water Plant, Esfahan Uranium Conversion Facility, Fordow Fuel Enrichment Plant, and the Natanz Fuel Enrichment Plant.
DO NOT under any circumstances damage the nuclear reactors at the Arak and Esfahan facilities.
