Run the scenario for 5 seconds to let autodetected units appear.
You are expected to choose your own aircraft loadouts. You can instantly ready all aircraft with the "Ready All Aircraft" special action. This action is repeatable. It will be turned off after five minutes of gametime have elapsed.
You will only receive points for damaging or destroying mission objectives, the facilities that make up the objective sites. Points will be rewarded for units damaged to 75% or greater. If a unit is mission killed, it will not reward additional points if further damaged or destroyed. You will not receive points for damaging/destroying Iranian aircraft, SAM sites, early warning radars, etc.
You will not begin to lose points for combat aircraft losses until more than five aircraft have been destroyed. You will always lose points if a "strategic" aircraft (tanker, early warning, recon, etc.) is destroyed. The number of points deducted doubles after more than ten aircraft are lost.
If enabled during scenario setup, whenever one of your aircraft is destroyed, a survival roll will be conducted for each crew member (using the database crew value). For each crew member that survives a "Downed Aircrew" unit will be created around the destroyed aircraft's location.
To recover downed pilots, maneuver a rescue capable unit to within rescue parameters. Every five minutes, a recovery check will be attempted for all downed pilots. There is some randomness in order to simulate difficulties during the rescue. Rescuing downed pilots will reward 50 points.
Rescue Parameters:
Rescue Capable Aircraft:
If Search and Rescue is enabled, flying a CSAR cargo aircraft at minimum altitude and minimum speed will create a forward refueling point at the aircraft's location. This check is performed every minute. After "landing" the cargo aircraft will be located at the new air base with a 30-minute ready time.
Cargo Aircraft:
You may conduct up to two cyber-attack methods simultaneously using the "Cyber Operations Center" special action. You will need to reopen this menu if you wish to conduct additional actions.
Each action will reduce the effectiveness of subsequent actions. If you are using the default "Realistic" event chances scenario option, the first cyber action has a high chance of success. The second attack will have a moderate chance of success. Additional cyber actions will have a low to no chance of success. Experience will vary if using the "Random" event chance scenario option. If you selected "Remove Randomization" you may conduct as many actions as you wish with a high chance of success.
Most effects will last for a limited amount of time. Depending on the action, recovery from the effect may not be instantaneous. It may take several hours for Iranian units to fully recover. Each effect has its own recovery check event. After each recovery check phase, the time to the next phase decreases and the chance of unit recovering increases.
Cyber-attack method targets/effects:
Most effects are not cumulative. Running the same attack method more than once will not increase the chances of success or the effects. The exception to this rule is the attack sensor network actions. Executing these actions multiple times does have the potential to create additional false contacts.
The initial weather conditions were set when the scenario was first loaded. Every hour the weather changes, positively or negatively, based on the current conditions. Weather conditions should stay within the average norms for the region, with a very slight chance of atypical conditions. Temperature goes up during the day and decreases at night.
