[2] (Hypothetical)
[2]
[2] As the German battlecruiser Goeben fled east
[2] across the Mediterranean, the last British force
[2] that could stop her was a division of armoured
[2] cruisers commanded by Admiral Troubridge.
[2]
[2] Troubridge avoided action and was later court
[2] martialled. This scenario explores what would
[2] have happened if Troubridge had engaged. Can
[2] four armoured cruisers stop a battlecruiser?
[0] Escape eastwards to the objective point. Any
[0] enemy ships sunk are a bonus, but the prime
[0] objective is to preserve your force.
[0]
[0] Be aware that British battlecruiseers might join
[0] Troubridge, so do not dawdle.
[1] Sink the Goeben, or damage her enough that
[1] she cannot escape. There is a possibility that
[1] friendly battlecruisers will reach the scene.
