[2] The Battle off Ulsan
[2]
[2] The battle occured 14th August 1904 following
[2] the Battle of the Yellow Sea on 10th.
[2] The Vladivostok Independent Cruiser Squadron
[2] has been successful in its commerce raiding
[2] actions and the Japanese Second Fleet has been
[2] despatched to hunt them down.
[2]
[2] Historically, the Russian cruiser Bogatyr was
[2] absent having hit a rock. Unless historical forces
[2] are selected, there is a possibility that she is
[2] available.
[2]
[2] Historically, only Naniwa and Tokiwa of the
[2] Japanese light cruisers were involved in the
[2] fighting. The other light cruisers were in the area
[2] and involved in searching for survivors.

[1] Admiral Kamimura.
[1]
[1] You are tasked with destroying the Russian
[1] cruisers from Vladivostok. Their commerce
[1] raiding has had an impact on the war effort and
[1] your Second Fleet has been detached to
[1] destroy them.
[1]
[1] Your forces are patrolling the Tsushima Straight.
[1]
[1] You are aware that the Russian main fleet was
[1] defeated and scattered four days ago.
[1]
[1] It is night and as dawn approaches, the lookout
[1] on your flagship Izumo spots a light in the
[1] darkness. All eyes are on the horizon.
