Major Degenhardt, (Commander of Kampfgruppe from 11. Pz.Division)

your general orders are to clear the area west of the stream running from
north to south and then to establish a bridgehead to the right of the two
damaged bridges, just in front of "Werch-Nagolchik". After that you proceed
further and take all of "Werch-Nagolchik" to open a path at this point of
the Stalin Line.

Attack will start at 7 AM after some short Artillery bombardement and Stuka
strike at known enemy positions.
Platoon (A) will attack and clear the settlement (Settlmnt.) to the north.

Platoon (B) will clear the eastern half of "Pavlovka" and attack further
in the direction of the wood bridge crossing the stream.

Platoon (C) will attack alongside the railway line towards the railway
bridge and save the right flank of platoon (B).

Platoon (D) will attack and secure the woods south of "Pavlovka".

The preceeding day Reconnaissance planes and early evening foot patrols
discovered several soviet positions, including trench lines, pillboxes and
some minefields that are shown on the map. Many more minefields and well
hidden fortified positions are to be expected. Some Foot patrols infiltrated
the soviet lines during the late night and might reveal more.
Troops from a yet unidentified soviet rifle division are holding the line.

Also in front of "Werch-Nagolchik", an anti tank trench cuts the approaches
to the village.

As reinforcements you will have availabe a section of heavy Infantry guns from
the "Heavy Weapons Company" and an engineer company that will arrive between
H+6 and H+8. (turns 6+8)

Once "Werch-Nagolchik" is secured, a breakthrough force (E) consisting of a
platoon Pz-III and Motorcycle infantry from the Reconnaissance Company will
be released to advance through the village and attack further to the east.
It is important that this breakthrough force dont gets involved unnecessarily
in local fights and stays intact for the breakthrough!

Weather is clear and wind coming from NW!

Good luck Major Degenhardt!
