This is a moderate sized battle that will take an hour or more to play.
**
Note: This scenario should be played with all options on except command & control.
It is intended that the human player take the Polish side. Playing the German side
will not work due to the structure of the scenario.
**

Background**
The German 4th light and 2d panzer divisions have been forcing the Polish Black Brigade
to retreat. On September 4, the brigade surprised its attacker with an attack of its own.
The Black Brigade was unable to use all of its armored assets due to shortages in fuel and
ammunition.
**

In this scenario, the human player will attack German positions and attempt to relieve
the pressure on the Polish defenders. Although it is possible to "surprise" the AI's force,
German reinforcements will arrive and aggressively counter-attack.
**

The forces from both sides are mixed. Polish troops include infantry, tanks, and cavalry.
The opposing German force consists of infantry and light armor. The Polish side will receive
a platoon of tanks at turn 4 and a troop of cavalry at turn 9.
**

Take command of the Polish troops! Hit quickly and advance as far as you safely can. Beware
of German reinforcements. When it is clear that you cannot advance further, withdraw to
defensive positions and minimize your losses until the end.
**

After the battle:*
The attack of the Black Brigade caught the German 4th light division by surprise. The German
counter-attack was beaten back but over-whelming German reinforcements made it impossible
for the Black Brigade to follow-up on its success and it had to withdraw from the field of
battle. The portion of the German reinforcements that forced the Black Brigade to withdraw
will appear at the end of the scenario but not in time to defeat the Polish side.
