"The German train, heavily armed, was slowly progressing across the desert, toward the combat lines, escorted by a few rapid vehicles.
It was loaded with an infantry group, but more important, it was transporting the much needed fuel, awaited by the Panzers on the front.
Suddenly, an explosion immobilized the engine.
The German officer did not need more than a few seconds to realise the site was perfect for an attack: They were ambushed !"*
*German instructions:*
Your train was lightly escorted, but heavily armed and protected by small planes. As soon as you realised you were ambushed, you have asked for re-inforcement. They are on their way.*
Meantime, you should try to protect the train at all cost.*
If you manage to repel the first wave of attackers, install some of your men on the ridge just behind the train.*
If you get the upper hand, try to progress towards the hills, and seek and destroy the British HQ.*
If you are losing badly, try to retreat toward the sandy hill at the bottom of the map.*
*British instructions:*
The existence of the train was known at the last minute, as the decision to ask you to attack it.
Originally the attack was supposed to be coordinated with paratroopers, but the train arrived too early according to this plan !*
On the spot, you only have a hastily gathered squads of British engineers, cavaliers, a desert group and some Ghurkas.*
The train is also more heavily defended than expected.*
Up to you to delay the attack until you get your re-inforcements, but so will the Germans if the battle last.*
*Best play at the British against the AI probably, but designed for two players.*
