What is Scenario Wrangler
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Scenario wrangler is a tool for managing SP:WAW data files. It allows you
manipulate scenarios, maps and saved games.

Currently, you can view information about the files, move them between slots in
a directory and move them to other directories. You can also print out the
information. In future, you will be able to do more.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
How to use Scenario Wrangler
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
When you start Scenario Wrangler for the first time, you are likely to get an
empty list. You need to specify some directories. Scenario Wrangler allows you
to work with four sets of directories: one set for Scenarios, another set for
Maps, and another for Saved Games and finally one for Campaigns. Each set
contains two directories: the Main directory and the Alternate directory. The
Main directory is the one that's shown in the list. All "Move To Slot"
operations are performed within this directory. The Alternate directory is the
destination used when moving files out of the Main directory. You can swap the
Main and Alternate directories at any time by using the button with the
double-headed arrow.

When you have specified the Main directory, click on the "Redraw" button. This
will cause the list to be loaded. This may take a minute if you have a slow
computer with a lot of files.

With the list loaded, you can see all of the important information about the
scenario, or other file. All of the columns can be moved and resized. Scenario
Wrangler will remember their positions and sizes when you exit, so they'll be
the same next time.

If the scenario or map has an accompanying description text file, you can
double click on the list to view it.

To move a single scenario to a different slot in the same directory, simply
click on it, then click on the "Move To Slot" button (Alt-M). You will be
asked for the slot number to move to. If you specify an empty slot, the file
will be moved. If the slot you specify is occupied, you will be asked if you'd
like to swap the contents of the slots. If you answer "Yes", it will be done.
If you answer "No", the Move operation will be cancelled.

To move a single scenario to the Alternate directory, it's the same process,
but with the "Move To Alternate" button (Alt-A). Again, if you specify an
occupied slot in the Alternate directory, it will ask if you want to swap.
Note that this will move the scenario in the Alternate directory into the
Main directory.

To move multiple scenarios, simply click and drag to select them, then click
one of the "Move To ..." buttons. If your selection contains empty slots, you
will be asked if you want to remove them. Answering "Yes" mean that a
selection like "001, 002, 003, 006, 008" being moved to "10" would give "010,
011, 012, 013, 014". Answering "No" would give "010, 011, 012, 015, 017".

It's a little odd, but you'll get used to it. One thing to be wary of is
moving multiple files where the source and destination ranges overlap (eg.
moving "010, 011, 012, 013" to "012"). Occassionally when doing this, a
scenario may be misplaced - it shouldn't be deleted, just in an unexpected
slot.

To print the current list, simply click the "Print" button (Alt-P), answer
whether or not you'd like the printout double spaced, and choose your printer.
The printout will be sized to fit the width of your paper. If the text is too
small, try printing in Landscape mode.

Notes: In all of the above, you can substitute Maps and Saved Games for
        Scenarios.
The moving of campaign data is not yet supported.

The future of Scenario Wrangler
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
In upcoming Scenario Wranglers, you can expect to find features such as:

   or date, etc...)
