Each Army Group contains one Rail Repair unit. Each Army and Panzer Group contains one Major Ferry capable unit. Each Corps contains one Engineer unit. Tiger I Abteilungs are included in the Panzer divisions when they are refit. Tiger II Abteilungs are separate units. StuG Abteilungs are included in Infantry divisions. Early Independent PanzerJager Abteilungs consisted mostly of self-propelled 47mm guns. These are distributed among the Motorized Divisions. The next generation of these units contained Marder series tank destroyers and these are also distributed to the Motorised Divisions. Late generation PzJg-Abt's contained various equipment [Elefants, Nashorns, 88mm towed guns, etc.]. These units are separate and arrive as reinforcements starting around turn 100. The Germans were never able to produce enough of these units to cover the entire front, so instead they were deployed to areas where they were considered to be needed most. The player will have to do the same. Some of the Artillery units were formed from captured Soviet guns and therefore arrive with few or no guns. Captured Soviet Guns begin arriving in the Replacement Pool on turn 12. Most units that upgrade over the course of the scenario will have Theater Options to do so. However, all available game engine mechanics have been used in order to simulate the different circumstances under which units arrived at and left the theater. Some units will disband, some will withdraw, some do not reconstitute. Some new units arrive the turn after their previous unit leaves, some take several to many turns to arrive. While everything follows historical lines, the point is that the player doesn't have complete control over everything that happens. You never know when OKH will throw you a little negative or positive surprise. The 22.Panzer Division arrives on turn 35 and will never reconstitute. If it is still in play in August 1943, it will be eligible to refit. It receives very low priority in replacements. Some German SS Police and Sicherungs units will withdraw for rear area security over the first eight turns. Those that remain will not reconstitute. If Bucharest [59,94] is captured by the Soviets, Rumania will withdraw and the German 181.Inf Div and 7.SS Gebirgs Div will arrive at 47,97. If Budapest [30,84] is captured by the Soviets, Hungary will withdraw If Viipuri [45,24] is captured by the Soviets, the German 196.Inf Div and 214.Inf Div will arrive at 4,57. If the Soviets approach within 10 hexes of Berlin, the German 163.Inf Div arrives at 4,57. 9.SS and 10.SS Panzer Divisions were only deployed to the East Front for a short period of time. Therefore they are left out of the scenario and in their place some of the other divisions that come and go will be in play for slightly longer periods than historical. The three Slovak units will not reconstitute. The zbV.800 unit that is in 1.Panzergruppe will not reconstitiute. If this unit is eliminated the ability to form the Brandenburg Division will be lost.
