Description: The Germans respected the strength of the Maginot Line after inspecting a mirror image line in Czechoslovakia. They did attack the line extension in one place near Montmedy, France. Local French reserve forces did not counterattack to relieve pressure on the end casemate near La Ferte which fell after one day.
