RE: New Public Beta Available for WitE v1.05.18

<r> Interesting changes, might have to try these out. Last time I played a game was with patch 1.03, only playing the AI so far.<br/>
One thing I noticed back then was how easy it was to stall the Axis AI and counterattack early in 41/42.<br/>

RE: Variable initiative

<t> I hate variable innitiative, even in games vs the PO. latest example: Bulge scenario, the germans attack, most of my US unitrs are frozen at turn 01 and I can do little to save them. because of the many trucks in the US TO&E the innitiative changes on turn 02 and as my forces were activated, I ...

RE: How realistic is TOAW 3?

<t> Well, I think I've played close to 10 games of DnO so far, all got aborted before running the entire length because it was obvious at some point that either the germans got totally bogged down or that the soviets simply had nothing left to protect moscow.<br/>

RE: How realistic is TOAW 3?

<r> I haven't played the Road to Moscow scenarios yet, so can't comment on their quality. But I have played a few games of DnO and it truely is one of the best scenarios there is. It is true that DNO requires some time to play (I am a perfectionist, so a turn 01 DnO easily takes me 10-20h to do [:D ...

Yep, it's basically any deployment other than "Mobile".
Not quite, arty in retreated or routed state will no longer support combat in TOAW III, that was changed from CoW

RE: Getting arty to support defensively

<t> I strongly suggest to always use the dig-in version, and only use Tac reserve (never local) when you are player 1 and your arty has no mvement points left to dig in, or as player two if your arty is at lest 2 hexes away from the frontline, because otherwise they would move forward into battle ...
