Yes, I am aware of that. As Japanese you have a lot of landbased torpedo bombers, which are more effective if they carry torpedoes. That was the reason for my original question, which was inspired by the manual

South East Area fleet and 4th fleet provide torpedo ordinance for the base they are located and behave as commando HQ in that respect. What makes them to command HQ is still unclear to me

But still Truk provide Torpedo Bombers with torpedos without any Air HQ. In this respect they behave as a Command HQ. I will try and move them to see what happens [:)]

According to the Manual Command HQ also provide Air Torpedos (without the Torpedo Ordnance fiels in the TOE). That seems to be the case in my experience. What I do not understand is why the 4th fleet in Truk is a command HQ

Torpedo Ordinance

I don't know, if this has been discussed before:
According to the game manual, Base Forces can also generate Torpedos (like Air HQ). I have not been able to find out how. Device 196 only works for carriers.
Do any one knows anything about this.[&:]

You are right. The division in 3854 - 3857 have components which havn't turned up yet. I assume that is the case for 43rd division as well (I havn't found the pieces).

I still use XP as I have no problems with it. My wife has a 7 PC and a 8.1 laptop, but I am very sceptical about the upgrade to Win 10. I have doubts about the resulting performance and especially about the integrated "spyware".

You can place the factories on an island far from the front, which will stay allied (Tahiti or so). The repairing will only start after you supply it (with 20.000+). I don't think it will work with allies AI.

In my experience you can change the TOE after the start of the game. This will have an impact of the LCU using this TOE. The units will try to achieve the new levels (there seems to be some problems, if you introduce new devices).

I have a further question on the devices in slot 250 - 255 (Eng vehicles, Engineers, Support, Motorized Support, Av Support and Naval Support). Is there any hardcoding involved? I do not see for example how the Engineer Vehicles can build anything. They however seem to help.
