RE: More screens

<t> Yes, the screen shot with the SS units. We have all been waiting a long time for this game, and from the previews, I am sure it will not disappoint. Its looks like a fantastic computer version of a small tactics simulation on the eastern front. I could not be happier to see it in these final ...

RE: More screens

Just another note, even with the rally feature you mentioned, IMO and experience with tactical game, the SS should have a elite morale equal to the guards units, which is 6.

RE: More screens

<t> Fair enough, they were not supermen. Although it is a historical fact that as units, they were fanatical, and since they are historically fanatical units, they tended to take casualties before breaking in comparison to your average squad. If the feature of them having the ability to rally in ...

RE: More screens

The units in "Surrounded" look like SS units. It seems odd to me that they would only have a 5 morale, which is the same as the front line Russian units. I would have expected maybe a 7 or at a minimum a 6 morale for SS infantry.

RE: Future Directions - Features

<t> I would like to see the "fire" order to have the ability to lock on to a specific target. If that target moves during the duration of the fire order, then the firing unit would still be locked on to that target as it moves. This would be a enhancement to the direct fire feature that already ...

RE: Future Directions - Features

<t> Yes, I see now that a distance indicator of sorts is "already there". The realisim argument goes away because the distance indicator feature is already included in the game LOS tool. From my point of view, I do not like counting up the ticks on the LOS tool, so it becomes a matter of enhancing a ...

<t> Templer, I would be suprised if you become disapointed with BFTB. If I tried what you did in your COTA example with the BFTB scenario I am playing now, I would entangeled with American units, and my supply would be cut off from the enemy units I was able to bypass.<br/>

I have been playing Greyhound Dash as the Germans. Starts out with a partial force of the 116 Panzer Division (Greyhound). Great scenario.

RE: Future Directions - Features

<t> I like to check out LOS's from areas on the map that I have not occupied yet. If I am checking a LOS from some unoccupied postion (to maybe a choke point), I would also like to check the distance from point to point using the LOS line, so I can determine the right type of unit to move to that ...

RE: Future Directions - Features

<t> Understood. Still, there are many weapon platforms in the game with various ranges, and using the grid to determine distance many times during the game is not very efficient. Having a distance indicator at the end of the LOS line would make the game more enjoyable, and give the commander the ...

RE: Future Directions - Features

Is there a way to auto determine distance from one point to the next?

If not, I would like to see a distance indicator at the end of the LOS line.

Also, I would like to see a more dramatic graphic at the when showing rocket FFE.

Thanks, Still getting to know the new features. This game is great!

I would like to see the ability to re-orgainze units in the OB screen. Maybe have the OB screen as a pop up, so it can be enlarged.

<t> Han's, Interesting critique/review. Since you have taken the time to provide constructive criticism, I thought I would provide a critique of your review. Let me start off by saying your backround in wargaming is impressive. I have been playing SSG games since the first one on the Ardennes came ...
