RE: FBD units

Make sure you don't edit the TOE/OB. If you have edited the FBD support unit TOE, ensure that at least half the SUs are RAD Labor Groups & Detachments. The Labor units supply most of the Railroad Repair value used to generate MPs.

RE: How to fix the game.

<t> Thanks for the uncalled for credit rating. I don't think I earned a personal put-down. <br/> <br/> There are a many, many inaccuracies in the game. Chuck cited just a very few. That said, the quality of research and detail is unparalleled, indeed; the product is peerless. I don't think many corr...

RE: How to fix the game.

Lancer, break up the lynch mob.

Excellent points, Chuck. Very persuasive. The big guns value marketability above accuracy. Budgets and publication deadlines can be disincentives to research/accuracy as well.

RE: New Soviet Eastern Front website

<t> Can anyone explain why so many soviet references, sources, sites seem to have an aversion to using scale military grid maps? The sketch maps so often encountered seem so unauthentic and omit many cartographic details required for objective analysis.[&:] At times, I wonder if unit leaders eve...

RE: 369 Croatian regiment

<t> Raises the question why are merge rules so rigid, more restrictive than documented historic practices. I guess we have to subordinate historic accuracy to the limitations of the game's architecture (one of the recurring frustrations we accept as a trade off for making such an enormous undertakin...

Dat File Updated by Steam

<t> Hi Guys - Just loaded GGWitE today, 20 April (last played 9 April) on STEAM. New files installed <br/> or overwrote files in my DAT folder: scriptRec, splashTime, Art/photo, Art/jumpMap, Art/all zoom files [&:] and modified whatsnew file with nothing new in the log. Can I get up to speed?<br...

Make sure to Lock HQ Support on Game Options Page, otherwise AI will reassign support units between turns (default).

RE: 11th Army?

<t> My compliments to Denniss et al for rectifying the automatic removal of Army Group B units from the Axis OB in 1943. Two remaining examples (among some others) of units withdrawn or disbanded automatically in Spring 43 are XIV PzK, 29th Motorized Division - (historically both reformed and re-dep...

RE: 11th Army?

<t> This is an example of one of the more ridiculous detractors from the game.<br/> The player is cursed with the outcomes of historical mistakes even when he steers clear of repeating those mistakes. What happens to sixth army units when a player when either avoids Stalingrad or defeats the Soviet ...

<t> It's an abstraction. I'm not good at explaining abstractions and math models. Now that you mention it, you should be seeing your own confirmed attrition losses that occurred after the end of turn four and before the start of turn five. Pretty sure you start out with higher current turn totals th...

<t> If both are stock game scenarios with AGS-entire and T1 on 22 June, then initial setup should be identical.
