2. Your mining stations have too many resources! That's why your planets don't have enough resources! Because your making too many! :lol:
3. Your not playing into strange NPC behavior. You should accept suboptimal NPC programming. Its your fault!

I'm sorry but this whole debacle are player induced...
You have omitted building any medium freighters which completely borked the freighter logic.
Different freighters have different roles... if they are available you have to build them or the freighter logic will break.

As I said... documentation is not always enough... sometimes too much documentation just mean no one will ever read it because it is too much so it actually is not always a good thing. So documentation are needed but only to a certain degree. This is something I have learned the hard way in my own ...

Probably not really enough to be honest... too many people don't read the Galactopedia and even if they do they might not even know the info is there and never search for it.

If I have Lv2 blasters, I never NEED Lv3 blasters for the game to function. Yes, my blasters will eventually be very weak weapons, but my empire will still run if I choose to hamstring my fleet with crappy weapons.

I actually take issue with allot of these argument that the game don't tell me if I do X then Y will happen... it would be impossible to cover all options available in the game that would need to be explained.

The game by default will create all the freighter... if the player choose to not design ...

Sorry to say this against the opinion of ChrisGb and Jorgen_CAB ...

But "if" it realy a mistake from the player ... if he plays the Game in the way HE want ?
If not an rule or an good visible warning stop it from (in the example here) not use medium frighters ....
So an player need an long list ...

Damaged components will generally not work either, a damaged engine for example will owner the speed of the ship and a damaged weapon will not be able to shoot or at least shoot more rarely, not sure which. A damaged shield certainly don't work at least.

This is a very common issue in my opinion... players can screw over the game very hard unless you don't pay close attention to what is going on. Said player then blame the game for their own mismanagement.

I have played many saves with these kind of similar issues in the past.

I never put fighter ...

I agree that hovering over the tech in the tech tree should say what bonus category it is using, I hope they add that information eventually so it is more clear.

Is there any reason the game has given you to think otherwise? Research bonuses should apply to all of your tech and you can see the total bonuses for a particular tech when hovering over it in the research screen.


When hovering above a tech in the tech tree, the tooltip only contain bonus ...

Fleets on automation issue...

Fleets that are on either Raid or Attack will generally automatically engage single ships in range even if "Military Attacks" is set to manual. I have to always not use the automation if I want to avoid my fleets running off in directions I really don't want to.

Colonies that goes independent don't recieve diplo tech bonuses.

Basically as the title say... whenever a colony goes independent it will not receive the diplomacy tech for the dominate race of the now independent colony.

If I research a new level in that tech the colony will apply it again properly.

I don't have a save to show this, but this happen every time ...

Should not be necessary as you can already do that... just make the queue and set the ship directly to automation. It will execute everything in the queue and then start with automated functions.

Mining bases don't require Caslon to operate, this was removed from the game a long time ago since there was issues with players not able to deal with the consumption of this and it also at the time had adverse effect on performance as well.

Zenox medium starport lack visible docking ports...

The Zenox Medium starports does not have any actual docking ports so freighters never dock with them making them quite useless for lowering traffic on busy ports. Every ship they build is built outside of the starport.
