AI Air Supply Setting?

<t> I had to take a break from my game, installed the newest patch, and now I cannot have the AI resupply my units with transport planes. Did something change to prevent this or did I mess up my settings? Any help would be greatly appreciated as I've fumbled my offensive and now have many units ...

RE: Took Moscow...Now what?

Ah...Got it. I have 256 vps, so I guess it's just a matter of time. Thanks for the responses...They're greatly appreciated.

Took Moscow...Now what?

<t> Sorry if this has been addressed but I don't see it anywhere: I took Moscow. It's the Grand Campaign, February 1943, normal difficulty. I thought the war was won but it's been two turns since the fall of Moscow and the game continues. Do I need to reach some point total (the 290 figure) or just ...

RE: Question about Casualties...

Thanks Cookie Monster...I remember reading that but it didn't click I guess. That really clears things up. Glad to hear the Russians are experiencing worse Jomni. That's small consolation but consolation nevertheless...

Question about Casualties...

<t> This MUST be in the manual though I have not been able to find the answer anywhere. I have noticed that, playing as the Germans, I see my casualties as one number at the end of my turn but another, sometimes astronomically higher number, at the end of the Soviet turn. <br/>

RE: Feb 1942 Question

<t> No, I'm playing random weather. I think a lot of my problem was supply-related. Still trying to understand the finer points of play, especially in mud and blizzard conditions.<br/>

RE: Feb 1942 Question

<t> I'm closer overall due to retreating and also ongoing rail repair. The change was sudden and ran the length of the front but it was not as pronounced in the south where I am further from the rail heads, so that probably had something to do with it. But I just noticed that the difference was ...

Feb 1942 Question

<t> Not sure if this is caused by the new patch, shorter supply lines for the Germans (having retreated about 50-70 miles in places), or some deeper triggers within the game itself but my offensive capabilities as the Germans seemed to radically improve overnight on turn 36. No change in weather ...

RE: Captured Supplies and Fuel?

Got it...Still on the same turn as I am playing from work (between actual work) but will look for the fuel to show up on the next turn. Thanks!

Captured Supplies and Fuel?

Still earning the game...Couldn't find the answer in the manual. What happens to captured supplies and fuel? Does that go directly to the pool? I just crashed through a bunch of Soviet airbases and supposedly captured over 150 tons of fuel but don't see it anywhere...Thanks for any help!

RE: Logic behind HQ flight?

I see, thanks for the response...I would like to see a more realistic resolution but this at least makes sense to me and I can roll with it. Spectacular game overall, so now it's a matter of nitpicking the personally annoying details:)

Logic behind HQ flight?

<t> What's the logic behind causing an HQ unit to flee 20-30 hexes at the sight of an enemy unit? I get that it would want to remove itself from danger and all of that, but 200+ miles deep behind other soft units? And how is it that these units can pick up and run half way across the map after ...

RE: FoW/AI Question

Got it...That's very interesting. The AP issue is odd but maybe worked into the game for the same reason as the FOW? Anyway, thanks again for the response. You cleared a lot of this up for me.

RE: FoW/AI Question

<t> Thanks for the response but I'm very much a newbie to this genre of gaming so pardon the ignorance. I'm still unclear...When you say the AI ignores FOW you mean FOW doesn't apply to the AI regardless of settings, right? Again, maybe because I'm new, it seems odd that the AI can bypass the FOW ...

FoW/AI Question

<t> Why is it that playing against the AI and selecting FoW causes me to experience true FoW but the AI can actually see all of my units? I understand that the AI only sees the counters and doesn't have any information about the unit itself, but is there a way to make the AI experience true FoW?<br ...

Map Box Shows Force Distribution?

<t> OK, maybe this is another newbie question but how can I prevent the map box in the lower left of the screen from displaying the entire enemy army while the AI is taking its turn? I suppose I could just not look but there must be a way unless this is intentional...I have both FOW selections on ...

Forming Corps HQ Units?

<t> Sorry...Probably a simple answer but I just leapt into this genre on gaming. As new Axis divisions appear on the map, can I create new Corps HQ units for them or must I assign them to existing HQs? Also noticed a couple of small armies (forget the number/designation) with just one or two corps ...
