RE: Armor Direct Fire Ineffective

<t> Which scenario and which tank versus which? Time of day and weather condition? Cover and deployment of enemy?<br/>
<br/>
For all I can tell better NATO tanks usually hole all but the best WP ones like it was a turkey shoot. The problem is with too many turkeys swarming you over and ...

RE: Mining Bridges

<t> Might be possible to think some of them as abstracted counter-battery radar seeing them. There are few other reasons to drop rounds behind own line and presumably on some choke point.<br/>
<br/>
Probably still won't sound all that good - Can't imagine artillery rounds having too much of a ...

RE: First scenario beyond tutorial, and a few observations

Yep, the scenario(WS_AS A Time To Dance) was intended to be played from Soviet side, according to scenario description.

Now I've also seen another version of the same scenario intended to be played from NATO side. I think that would be the next scenario I try.

First scenario beyond tutorial, and a few observations

<r> Hello there!<br/>
<br/>
So, I've just finished my first actual scenario after replaying the tutorial on both sides several times, and scored a success...As I've found out, "A Time To Dance" is probably the second simplest scenario after tutorial out there and probably much easier for the Red ...

RE: AIM-9x performance

<t> Given the way this is currently calculated, the hit ratio of a 100% base to-hit against a, say, agility 5.0 fighter like F-16 or Mig-29 is 50%, provided that the weapon get through the countermeasures first. Missiles like AIM-9X might still have a greatly incresed boresight limit at least in ...

RE: Newbie guidance

<t> Wikipedia can be a source for general info about specific munitions and systems, though do not expect it to be always accurate.<br/>

The info contained in a platform's ingame database would usually be enough for a loadout's intended targets, although...I kind of miss specific entries to ...

RE: Missiles, base pK, agility and degree of control

Sounded like a good idea...And indeed, didn't realize about those parameters at first. Also that speed penalty is that -50% pK for high supersonic targets -- which sounds like something that will be modeled in another way in the new model, I guess!

This is awesome -- Thanks!

Missiles, base pK, agility and degree of control

<t> First, I wish to say that I'm glad to see this comes to fruitation...Been having a blast!<br/>

Though there are still something confusing, particularly about missiles. Here are my observations so far:<br/>
<br/>
First, the current, or shall I say, Harpoon-like system of anti-air pK ...

There are OECMs on Soviet ships. Destory them.
