RE: Any chance of a Christmas...

Oops, sorry, I forgot I'm talking about a game on the Internet: The game is broken without this fix and it literally makes my eyes bleed!

RE: Soviet Surrender...Control to UK?

<r> <QUOTE><s>[quote]</s>I know this was mentioned in the past but I am not sure what ended up happening. With the next version will the USSR gain an additional Main Supply city in the east? In order to avoid the mass amount of troops that can be cut off from supply by a direct Japanese move to the ...

RE: Soviet Surrender...Control to UK?

<t> My question is "what is Russian Surrender" supposed to mean in terms of a reasonable historical context and the games environment. Obviously the USSR didn't surrender to Japan. But surrender presumably means something like a peace treaty with Japan following the capture of Omsk and some form of ...

Soviet Surrender...Control to UK?

If the Soviet Union surrenders, why do all uncontrolled hexes -- and edge of map resources hexes -- switch possession to the UK?

Random Thoughts on Japanese Oil Supply

<t> Played through this strategy in a recent 41-campaign. I played the Allies -- Japan was the AI. I found I could crowd Java, Sumatra and Borneo with a hodgepodge of Indian, American and Australian Troops within a few turns of the Campaign Starting. The AI could not adapt to the situation and the ...

RE: pt boats

<t> I stopped investing in patrol boats and subs -- Allied or Japanese -- after playing through several 41-campaigns. They don't provide much bang for the bucks. I use the ones I have at the start of the campaign for resupplying ground units only. <br/>
<br/>
Perhaps subs and PT boats are more ...

RE: Enemy Ships Stacking With Friendly -- and

<t> It seems to have occurred several times as a result of port blockade where the AI is trying to counter my blockade. But the AI's counter blockade can somehow move right into a hex full of enemy ships. <br/>
<br/>
However, it also occurred inexplicably with an enemy transport ship. I'm not sure ...

RE: Enemy Ships Stacking With Friendly -- and

<r> I don't understand. The game is still telling me I am running the most current version. You mean you just fixed it and the fix will appear in the next patch?<br/>
<br/>
No -- I didnt walk into the hex or para drop into it. More like I finished my turn and the AI moved ships into the same hex ...

Enemy Ships Stacking With Friendly -- and

<t> Just finished another go at the 41-Campaign. This time as the Japanese vs. the AI. Two items, although the second map related item seems relatively minor.<br/>
<br/>
1) On several occasions Allied ships managed to get intermingled with stack of Japanese Ships. After which I was able to move ...

RE: North CVE Sqd

<t> Having said that -- I am curious how American and UK CVEs are incorporated into the game? Historically there were tons and tons of American CVEs operating in the Pacific. I assume they were not included into WPP directly due to the counter burden it would create for Allied Players. But since ...

RE: Tracing Supply Through Thailand

<t> I know supply and logistics were -- in reality -- a huge issue during the Burma Campaign. For both sides. So the first time I saw this I assumed it was an intended game mechanic. But after seeing it switch on and off in couple successive solo games it didn't really feel like it was an ...

<t> 1.00.004 -- I ran my last 41 campaign game solitaire last week. Same thing occurred again. But now I have the Allies vs. AI Philippines defense down. Pull out the American Philippines Div as soon are transports are available to the Allies -- and of course send any surviving air and naval units ...

RE: North CVE Sqd

<t> There's already an in-game re-name tool for units. Click the magnifying glass -- click the ABC button -- and call CVE North: Taiy&#333; Group or the like. Send the 40th Infantry to Burma -- hit the ABC tool and rename it to Merrill's Marauders. The character field limit; the sky; and your own ...

RE: Tracing Supply Through Thailand

Yeah -- just looked at the Map again and Moulmein used to be a port as did Tavoy. Both of which used to be key to maintaining basic supply to Allied units in Thailand. In the last patch the ports at both Moulmein and Tavoy were removed.

RE: Tracing Supply Through Thailand

<t> It doesnt sound like this is quit the same issue. Or maybe its an old issue that's been compounded in the last patch by the removal of several key ports in the area. <br/>
<br/>
Your saying you are in basic supply in your old screen shot. What I have been seeing is the Supply chain turns on ...
