Looking for an Axis Opponent GC 1941

I'd like to play the GC 1941 as the Soviets. I've played both sides a couple of times against the AI but never in MP. One Rule that I require is to disallow Temporary Motorization. Other than that Game Options can be discussed.

We expect WIS to release on or about 23 minutes from now. Our Video Team has video primed and ready for the release !

As actrade says, the criticism is absolutely not directed at the developers, but ...

Re: still no videos?

I completely agree with you! I don't want to be too critical either, because I love these games and I want this game to be successful. And I don't want to criticize the development team, who are not to blame for the poor PR. But unfortunately, the publisher Matrix Games really does deserve criticism ...

Re: War in Spain: engine choice makes sense — but I worry the theater choice may hurt the wrong conclusion

Personally, I'm very happy that we're getting to see a conflict other than World War II for a change. Most of the battles of World War II are already very well represented in countless games.

Of course, there are battles such as Norway or Crete that have not been covered very often, but I think the ...

Re: Beta Test

I wouldn't dare to say I'm an expert, it is not easy as a non spanish speaker to find good information, especially primary sources, but as far as I was able to I've informed myself quite a bit about this war.

Okay thank you! That is a bit longer than I had hoped but no problem. I'm just really curious to test this game. Ever since the game Espana 1936 I've been hooked by this conflict.

Beta Test

How long does it usually take to be accepted into the Beta? I'm really excited for this game, for me the Spanish Civil War is one of the most interesting conflicts in the last 100 years. And this project appears to be the most promising game about this topic I've ever seen.

Re: Altitude Effect on Recon

Thanks, so there is no hidden system like with the bomb groups, where a higher altitude leads to more inaccurate strikes. Good to know.

Altitude Effect on Recon

I'm coming back to this game after a few years of pause. While I'm planning my recon missions I was wondering whether the altitude of the recon plane has any effect on the outcome of the mission? I know that if you set the altitude below 500 feet you fly under the radar, which has a lot of benefits ...

Re: Campaign Barbarossa v0.7

Jack, thank you so much for this scenario! I've been waiting for years for this masterpiece, and now it's finally here. Though, I have one small remark. For the starting areas of the german army, did you have access to the Border Battle Atlas of David Glantz? I'm asking, because he has some ...

Re: SPW-50m

So the BTR-50 is just the transport for the mortar crew? If they want to fire the mortar they have to dismount the vehicle? I'm so confused, cause in my linked NVA document (clearly one of the best sources for the East German OOB) only the mortars itself are mentioned but no transporting BTRs.

Re: SPW-50m

Thanks for the help John! The document you attached is actually one of the sources that I've already checked and linked in my post. I've even used a newer edition than the one you provided here, but this vehicle isn't mentioned in any unit.

SPW-50m

I'm a bit confused about the existence of the SPW-50m. I've never heard of this version before. I've checked multiple of my sources (Among others: https://www.relikte.com/_basis/docs/nva-9.pdf ; http://www.fireandfury.com/orbats/modcweastgerman.pdf ; and the databse of the game "Armored Brigade ...
