I'd like to play the GC 1941 as the Soviets. I've played both sides a couple of times against the AI but never in MP. One Rule that I require is to disallow Temporary Motorization. Other than that Game Options can be discussed.

I completely agree with you! I don't want to be too critical either, because I love these games and I want this game to be successful. So the BTR-50 is just the transport for the mortar crew? If they want to fire the mortar they have to dismount the vehicle? I'm so confused, cause in my linked NVA document (clearly one of the best sources for the East German OOB) only the mortars itself are mentioned but no transporting BTRs.
