New observation. I'm 6 turns into a new campaign. Noticred that clicking on Disband TF button called up the Yes or No window but nothing happened when clicking on Yes as well as No. Appeared frozen. Pressing the Esc key closed the window. The game continues with no issues.

Added -cpu3. Turned off Windows transparency. Changed from - px1919 -py1080 to -px1366 -py768.

And I have a full screen display on my laptop. Very nice!

Big surprise tonight. It occured to me that my typewriter slideshow background has been working while running the game. I turned off the slideshow (change photo every minute) and (fingers crossed) no drop out has appeared since.

Update.

I deleted the *-dd_sw* switch and fired it up. With that deletion, the white text on bright pink background returned throughout. However, continuing into the game, a few moves of the mouse and a few clicks around the map were unmarred by a switch to desktop. Hmm.

Next experiment, set up ...

Thanks for the suggestions. I had included the *-f* switch. It appears that I too have one of those laptops (HP Probook 450 G10, 15.6 screen) that can't or (won't?) run the game in full-screen. Hmm.

Current switches: -pxf1919 -pyf1080 -dd_sw -deepColor -archive -w

Laptop display recommended: 1920 ...

Turned on *Automatic Hide of Taskbar*. Helped a bit...not as sensitive to flipping to desktop. Mouse pip location on game screen triggering the flip appears random. Living with it at the moment as I add Allies Set-Up orders.

Further suggestions are welcome.

Greetings...ready to take the plunge with a GC. Can someone confirm that the "(Quiet China)" notation indicates that the China theater is not active for the player and AI? I did not see any mention of it in the Scenario introduction. Thanks.
