Allied AI in DDay Scenario

Every single time I have tried as the Axis, when the Allied AI lands, it never bothers finishing off Cherbourg, never takes Caen, lands tanks separated from HQs at Le Havre, and even worse, lands a British HQ within range of the German inland reserve units. On the eastern front, the Red Army barely ...

Thoughts & Questions on a few units

Firstly, how come the UK is not able to build any mechanized units? They along with the USA had the only universally, fully mechanized divisions out of all nations at the time. Secondly, usage of German rockets is probably very low because of the big investment, would it be fair to add one to the ...

Upgrading AA on resources without necessary MPPs

I mentioned this in a post before but here is a photo example of what I was talking about. I have had this happen in WiE as well.

Paying for AA on resources without necessary MPPs

There is a bug that allows you to sometimes pay for AA on a resource when you don't have enough MPPs. When you click on the upgrade arrow in the interface bar at the bottom, and then hover over the desired resource, you are occasionally able to get, for example: Level 2 AA with only 15 MPPs left.

I ...

Re: Making Iowa Jima fortress?

Maybe a DE could be added that whoever controls it could pay 50 MPP and get it added. I'm sure developers could add that. This would be super awesome ... siegried line could be formed, defence in depth on certain areas could be created in russia, or defending germans. Seriously should be looked ...

Re: Finnish border in 1942-44 campaigns

Thanks for pointing this out, I've made some adjustments to the frontlines for the next patch.

Maybe more adjustments are needed because Eastern Karelia is still Soviet in all the campaigns that I mentioned should be changed and Soviet garrisons are basically gifted all the land back ...

Re: Planes now fly in all weather?

With new patch - planes now fly in all weather it seems. Do they have reduced effectiveness? This seems like a major change so trying to figure out impact and how it will change strategies going forward.

Good luck as late game Axis. Late 44 I was hoping for bad weather to stop the Allies at the ...

Re: A little criticism from a beginner

Yes, you are right as currently the script will definitely fire if there is a German unit in Riga, but it may not if the unit is just nearby.

I've made a note to change this.

Placed a German med bomber in Riga and on August 19, 1944 Franco decided to send the Blue Division xD. So I guess that ...

Re: DE 604 & DE 702 Inconsistencies

You said in 1939 it is affected by DE 100 and I was asking why. In a 1939 game the UK recognized the Free French and when I invaded Vichy myself I never recieved the event. So why is DE 100 a relevant factor? DE 604 should fire regardless.

Also want to point out after yes to DE 404 and no to DE 619 Petsamo doesn't transfer to Soviet control, even though it probably should.

Re: DE 604 & DE 702 Inconsistencies

DE 604 has a 50% chance of triggering per turn once its conditions are met, so there will be variability from game to game, but the conditions are virtually the same* in 1939 and 1942 so it will just be the randomness affecting its timing. That said, there is no reason for its not deploying ...

DE 604 & DE 702 Inconsistencies

It seems these events don't occur when they should. Did some hotseat testing and noticed the following. When saying yes to DE 638 (Case Anton) after the Allies take Algeria, this always allows DE 604 for the Strasbourg and DE 702 for the Jean De Vienne to be prompted to the player. The timing seems ...

Re: Axis tips from more experience players.

Researching and upgrading the Italian Navy if it survives past the fall of France is something I like to do. They might not match up with the British but as a fleet in being you can prevent Allied ships from blockading certain ports simply due to the mere existence of the Italian ships.

Subs though ...

Finnish border in 1942-44 campaigns

I only recently thought of this but the Finnish border is pretty innacurate in the 1942-44 campaigns, the Finns are way too far from Petrozavodsk, which they took in real life on Oct 1, 1941. Maybe for balancing purposes so the Axis are not too close to Volkhov or the Murmansk rail line? Another ...

Re: A little criticism from a beginner

It can deploy at any time after the 24th August 1941 providing all its trigger conditions are met in the same turn, i.e. if Spain was over 40% pro-Axis but falls below that, or joins the Axis, then the trigger won't be met.

Hex 187,68 where they deploy will need to be in Axis hands, and a ...

Where are the Spanish Blaue Division?

The Spanish Blue Division will deploy for service from late August 1941 providing German units are in or around Riga and Spain is at least 40% pro-Axis.

In my MP game Spain was over 40% before Barbarossa and it never spawned. I annexed Lithuania and ...

Re: German West Wall Fortress

Are you referring to the Atlantik Wall? The Westwall is automatically there when the game starts in every campaign. Seems it could be a bug and maybe your opponent had units in France the turn before but I'm not sure. As a sidenote, some players are sneaky and land an AA at a French Port just to ...

Re: Axis Spanish Port remains Allied

Perhaps an Allied ship was in there when it surrendered but then left. I believe you need at least a weak zone of control unit to retake it, in this case paras would do the trick since Algeria is neutral
