<t>Randy Stead: Considering my last comments I was thinking of starting a new thread asking which actors did you like playing the role of Germans, but I thought it was a bit silly and decided not to. Well.....I won't start a new thread on it, but I will say that James Mason (liked him in any role ...

<t>victorhauser: I agree with you on both points, however the flak aerial kills I can live without. OTOH, I will sabotage our positions here on the AI force reduction. I don't think you managed to catch an "advantage" for the AI in the scheme of the new ratios. Note, that while defense against an ...

<t>AmmoSgt: I don't think you've put the idea of the premise into your thinking very well yet. Try to look at it from that point of view, instead of trying to reinforce that everyone loves to play Gerry so they must be beefed up and the Allies down. I love to play all sides, and what I want is as ...

<t>AmmoSgt: The problem with your comparison, as far as I'm able to discern, is that you, yourself, are making the mistake, so that it doesn't make sense to you. The problem, is, that German players from what I can gather, are looking at recreating realism as much as possible, therefore, they wonder ...

<r>Just seen the trailer, pretty neat. I could watch those planes, ships and such cinematics all day long. Man, I can't imagine such a feast on these 70 foot screens they have now. The best I've seen on such a big screen was SPR, and it didn't seem to have many epic shots. <br/>

<t>I recall reading somewhere, I believe a website recently that an expert sniper for the Germans, NEVER used a scope, so I wouldn't equate non-presence of scopes to there being no sipers. He said something about that the scope reflecting to the enemy was a dead giveaway, and he knew snipers that ...

<r>I think Larry and I are basically on the same page, but I will translate my force as generally starting between 3200-3500pts. Later in the war, if one was to start a campaign there, the numbers should be higher to get the same amount of units. Sometimes though, there are some countries, because ...

<t>Speaking about the Israelis, last week I watched what I would term as 'one of those spook shows', you know the ones that dwell on the unexplained.<br/>

They were talking about the 6 day war. They said that there were very large formations of the enemies of Israel that abandoned all their ...

Paul Vebber: Alright, alright, it's mega-campaigns and not V.5 we're paying for, but at least at this time I value a hard copy cd of SPWAW more than I do something that would be useless without a copy of SPWAW, so please forgive my little departure from contractual reality.

Hey, wouldn't it be weird if this outsold CL (number of sales)? I would think because CL is a whole product, that it's sales would be higher than V.5 of SPWAW.

<t>Figmo/Warhorse: I'm sorry, I don't even remember the thread. Seemed it was one of those that weren't originally on that subject as I've made one or two new threads on that subject before, but I don't think that's where I saw what I described as the brainstorm. My impression was that Warhorse, or ...

<t>Wild Bill: Since you, like I, would like the wider campaign maps, consider the following if you would. Perhaps you've had this issue settled in your head long before this series just now, and perhaps you're wondering why I've pressed this issue more than once. For one thing it seems as though I'm ...

<r>Here's a portion the message Wild Bill gave me:<br/>

<QUOTE><s>[quote]</s>You'll see a lot of great things in 5.0, but you won't see wider maps. That is a change that would involve many, many hours of coding work. <br/>
It is something that I too would like, but I have to understand and accept ...

<t>Wild Bill/David Heath: My mistake. I was generalizing and wasn't trying to stir up a ruckus; if it can't be done, it can't be done. I did, however, go through the trouble of saying it was "basically" rejected by Wild Bill, not so much because he was being allegedly cold or anything, but because ...

<t>If Matrix had the inclination and if it were feasible, you could come up with 45 degree angles that the 'open timeframe' will allow each vehicle during opfire for each turn. Maybe tanks in general, would have a total of 32 45 degree angles they could spin, while TDs in general might have only 12 ...
